In December 2023, I performed at the Fondation Fiminco during the exhibition Farewell, curated by Félix Félisaz and invited by Maik Gräff. This exhibition was the culmination of the foundation’s Talents program, showcasing the works of nine resident artists. Maik Gäff generously invited me to intervene within his installation, which explored queer subjectivity—identity, desire, and melancholy—through cyanotype prints on denim. His work, rooted in photography as a sensitive medium, repurposed fragments of 1980s gay porn relics, crystallizing desire onto fabric.

In our collaboration, the denim prints became an extension of the performer’s body, worn with a micro short and a tight double tank top—creating an intimate, skin-to-fabric connection with the history embedded in the prints. The performance, an evolution of Club Sweat Cycle in a solo version, centered on a single body exposing itself to the audience.

Navigating the space, the body searched for points of contact—floor, concrete, its own reflection—oscillating between comfort and tension. By adopting uncomfortable postures and testing physical limits, the performer embodied a sexualized figure, both offered and withheld. The performance followed the pulse of a musical atmosphere, where heavy kicks dictated movement, and breath punctuated moments of release.
